NEW YORK, NY – On March 20, 2013, Michael L. Moskowitz, a founding member of Weltman & Moskowitz, LLP, participated as one of the judges in the Plainview-Old Bethpage John F. Kennedy High School’s 25th Annual Marvin Hazan Moot Court Competition. Mr. Moskowitz participated as a jurist for the sixth consecutive year. The tournament was co-sponsored by the Hofstra University School of Law.

There were approximately fifteen high schools competing and twenty Judges.  Each school brought two teams of three students each. There were four preliminary rounds before lunch.  After lunch, the four teams with the best records and most points advanced to the semi-final round with the winning teams advancing to the final round.  Each case had a panel of two or three judges with a greater number of judges for the later rounds.

Mr. Moskowitz is a 1975 graduate of Plainview JFK High School and a 1982 graduate of the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University.
