William K. Harrington, the U.S. Trustee for Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine and Rhode Island (Region 1), has been designated by Attorney General Eric Holder also to serve Region 2 replacing Tracy Hope Davis effective Nov. 27. Harrington has served as U.S. Trustee for Region 1 since October 2010. Region 2 encompasses New York, Connecticut and Vermont.
Tracy Hope Davis has concurrently been appointed by Attorney General Eric Holder as U.S. Trustee for Northern and Eastern California and Nevada (Region 17) effective on Nov. 27, 2013. Ms. Davis replaces August B. Landis, who has been appointed to the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Nevada. Davis was appointed as U.S. Trustee in (Region 2) in August 2010. She joined the U.S. Trustee Program in 1997 as a Trial Attorney before being named as the Assistant U.S. Trustee in the Southern District of New York. She has also served as the Acting Assistant U.S. Trustee in the Eastern District of New York (Brooklyn) and the Acting U.S. Trustee for Region 2.
