Nassau County Bar Association Volunteer Lawyers Project
Nassau County Bar Association members provide legal assistance to residents of Nassau County through the Volunteer Lawyers Project.

Nassau Suffolk Law Services (Law Services)
Nassau Suffolk Law Services is a Non-profit, community based poverty law program providing legal assistance in civil (non-criminal) matters to low income people throughout Nassau and Suffolk counties. Established in 1966, Law Services was the first Legal Services Corporation program in New York State and is one of the largest in New York State.  

New Jersey Bar Association Foundation
Founded in 1958, the New Jersey Bar Foundation is the charitable and educational Foundation of the New Jersey State Bar Association.

The Foundation's mission is to:

  • Foster an increased awareness, appreciation and knowledge of law and the legal system among New Jersey residents.
  • Serve as the statewide resource for law-related education for the public.
  • Provide opportunities for lawyers to serve the public through the Foundation's programs.
  • Foster professionalism and pride in the profession of law through public service.

The Foundation does this by offering a free, comprehensive public education program. Among their many public and school-based activities, they present law-related seminars, conduct conflict resolution training, publish law-related materials, operate a video loan library and speakers' bureau, and coordinate elementary, middle and high school mock trial competitions.

Multiple Sclerosis
Weltman and Moskowitz supports the following Chapters of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society:

Southern NY Chapter of the Bike MS NYC  
Net proceeds from Bike MS help provide vital programs and services for people living with multiple sclerosis and fund research initiatives for the cause, treatment and cure.

Long Island Chapter of the Bike MS NYC  
Net proceeds from Bike MS help provide vital programs and services for people living with multiple sclerosis and fund research initiatives for the cause, treatment and cure.

Sephardic Nursing Home (Sephardic Geriatric Foundation)
Since 1948 the Sephardic Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Brooklyn has been helping Jewish frail and elderly live in dignity while receiving the best medical and nursing care available.

Kilimanjaro Initiative
The Kilimanjaro Initiative is an association that encourages and assists young people from disadvantaged areas of East Africa to overcome challenges and become strong members of their communities. Every year, the Kilimanjaro Initiative sponsors some of these young people to climb to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa. Reaching the top provides each person with greater self-belief and encourages us all to think that if we unite, we can more easily overcome the problems to which we are confronted.

Through the annual climbs it organizes, Kilimanjaro Initiative raises awareness on a number of different issues that can contribute to providing better communities, such as the need for a cleaner environment, global warming and in using peaceful means to achieve needed changes. The Kilimanjaro Initiative is raising funds for community-based projects, having so far been able to upgrade a sports field in Nairobi and support youth enterprise projects in Tanzania, where Mount Kilimanjaro is located.

Covenant House
Covenant House is an International non-profit organization which provides local solutions to youth homelessness, serving 50,000 homeless and at risk youth each year. Covenant House is located in 21 cities in 6 countries throughout the United States, Canada and Latin America. New York is the largest Covenant House site serving on average 2775 kids per year, open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

UNFCU Foundation
The Foundation’s mission is to sustain the path out of poverty through healthcare and education for women and children in New York City and developing countries.

Gurwin Jewish
A full continuum of care, including a world-class nursing and rehabilitation center, a renowned assisted living community, outstanding home care programs and an exceptional adult day health program.

Sunrise Day Camp
Sunrise Day Camps are the world’s only dedicated day camps for children with cancer and their siblings, provided completely free of charge.
